Bellagio Banquet Hall Wedding, Vaughan | Anna + Lakis

I don’t even know where to begin with this wedding – it still makes me excited almost 2 years later! It all started with the drop-dead gorgeous set-up at Anna’s home. Her couture gown on a dress form set the scene and I thought I’d walked into a magazine shoot. Versace heels. A purple and pink bouquet. A stunning bride. Did I mention that this was just the START of all the perfect details?

Anna and Lakis’s day went smoothly, flowing from church ceremony to photos to reception. When we walked into the reception at Bellagio byPeterandPauls.com I was FLOORED! I don’t think I’ve ever had a wedding that had this many details and was so well coordinated. Props go out to James at To Suit Your Fancy for the jaw-dropping decor. The masquerade theme was fun and inviting and the matching decor and colours were classy and elegant. It all went together perfectly! Check out some of the details from the day below!

Country Couture | Farm Styled Wedding Shoot

Last Spring, myself, Jon and 3 other Toronto area photographers teamed up at Oak Knoll Stables near Cambellcroft for a day long style session. The theme of the day was “Country Couture”, and with an amazing group of vendors and models, they made it all come together beautifully.

Sadly, the day decided to be cold, rainy and miserable which hindered some of the outdoor ideas we had. Instead, we made good use of the barn and some of the beautiful decor setups we had.

Chateau de Charmes Winery Wedding, Niagara-on-the-Lake | Christine + David

The Niagara Region is a beautiful place for weddings, and Chateau de Charmes is no exception. The lovely vineyard is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake which is known for it’s abundance of wineries and vineyards. I was lucky to second shoot with Sam Wong from Visual Cravings for Christine and David’s big day in 2010, and it was stunning to say the least. Gorgeous details everywhere matched with a gorgeous couple made for a perfect day. After their church ceremony, we headed to the vineyard for photos before their outdoor tented reception.

Piper’s Heath Golf Club Wedding, Milton | Christina + Kelly

Christina and Kelly were married at Piper’s Heath Golf Club in Milton on a sunny, warm summers day. I loved the outdoor ceremony location near the barn, which was secluded and intimate. Armed with golf carts, the bridal party and I toured the course taking some photos before the party started.

Atlantis Wedding Toronto | Stephanie + Ken

It’s another ‘Way back’ post from 2010! Jon Rennie and I had a lot of weddings together in 2010/2011 and it’s always fun a challenging working with someone you’re dating. Especially when you’re both stubborn, independent only children who run their own businesses. It’s not always easy, that’s for sure.

But Stephanie and Ken’s wedding was a lot of fun! From her beautiful dresses and her eye catching red shoes, Stephanie was a stunning bride. These two saw each other before the wedding and we started photos on the Humber Bay Bridge in Toronto, which is right next to their condo. From there, we were off to Atlantis for more photos before their late day ceremony. The night featured speeches, aerialists hanging from the ceiling (!) and traditional Chinese Dragon Dance. Aren’t the details from this wedding beautiful?

La Maquette Wedding, Toronto | Linda + Ted

I had never heard of this venue before, but I was lucky to second shoot with my boyfriend, Jon Rennie, at La Maquette in Toronto. Linda got ready at the King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto (don’t you love the wallpaper and shoe photo below?) before they had a ‘first look’ to see each other before the ceremony. We walked around the area for photos, including the Novotel Hotel before the lovely late day ceremony at La Maquette.

Knox College Wedding, University of Toronto | Elizabeth + Kevin

Chinese weddings are always full of games and challenges in order to win the approval of the bride. They are almost always hilarious and often even embarassing. Kevin and his groomsmen had one game to dress up in bras and ladies underwear and get honks from passing cars. Hilarious, indeed!

Elizabeth and Kevin were married at Knox College on the University of Toronto campus, which we also used for photos afterwards.

Rideau River Wedding and Trash the Dress | Sarah + Murray

The day after Sarah and Murray’s lovely outdoor wedding and reception, Jon Rennie and I headed to the family farm for a fun Trash the Dress session.

Anyone who knows me well, knows I love farms/barns and that rustic style. This shoot was right up my alley! We enjoyed shooting around the barn and then headed off to the field with one of their gorgeous and HUGE horses, and then into the cornfield! Lastly, nothing is cooler than a wakeboarding bride and groom on the Rideau River! Sarah even stayed up the first time, while Murray went down right off the dock. It was tons of fun hanging out with them for the day!
